University of Santo Tomas’ Teletigers overwhelms the trending list of collegiate-level League of Legends Philippine teams.
Among the five top competing teams hosted by AcadArena Alliance, namely: Pylon Ypsilos, Usis Rektikano, Sage Ascendancy, and LG Hydra, the Teletigers ranked first in top engagement and reaction counts, according to Blueprint.ph.
Filipino FB accounts counted for mostly heart reactions for the Teletigers and a total engagement score of 366.4. Usis Rektikano came in second with a 5.2 engagement score.
Last December 11, Polytechnic University of the Philippines’ Pylon Esports won over the University of Sto. Tomas’ Teletigers Esports Club, 3-1, for the League of Legends crown in the Alliance Games Split 2 of Campus Gaming.

What is Campus Gaming?
The AcadArena currently hosts esports such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), League of Legends (LoL), Wild Rift, Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) and Valorant. It also supports PUBG: Mobile, Tekken 7, Fornite, and Teamfight Tactics. According to the AcadArena website, “Campus esports is an umbrella term that captures the different aspects of esports in the collegiate level. From competition, to streaming, to commentating, and even backend work of managing, coaching, marketing, and design-campus esports covers them all.”
In the same recent tournament, the De La Salle University’s Viridis Arcus took home the crown for three out of the five esports titles in contention: MLBB, Valorant and CODM. Meanwhile, the Holy Angel University (HAU) Valiant Esports Club secured its four-peat championship for Wild Rift after defeating Far Eastern University Institute of Technology (FIT) Tamaraws Esports Club-Mayhem, 3-1.
The Alliance
AcadArena wants to trump the “kaka-computer mo yan” (roughly translated to: too much doing things in your computer) mindset and growing local competition. To foster the youth’s needed skills and professionalism in the growing esports industry, it hosts the collegiate level tournaments in the country across varying skillsets and titles.#
