The last part of 2022 left Unreal Engine 5 and 5 fans hanging. During the State of Unreal 2022 event, Epic Games made Unreal Engine 5 available for all game developers to use for their upcoming projects. Both high-profile and even less well-known games have been confirmed to use the platform.
Epic Games brag its amazing platform “Unreal Engine enables game developers and creators across industries to realize next-generation real-time 3D content and experiences with greater freedom, fidelity, and flexibility than ever before.”

Here is the list of amazing warfare and games that are currently being made in Unreal Engine 5 and will come out in 2023. Netizens say that the best upcoming games like Call of Duty and Battlefield with ultra realistic and photorealistic graphics are coming out this year! Are they for you though? Let’s take a look!
1. The First Descendant
The online cooperative action RPG developed by NEXON in the vein of games like Outriders or The Division 2 made the beta test publicly available last October.
Watch the First Descendant Trailer:
“The Ingris continent, where humans live, was invaded by alien invaders called the Vulgus and was on the verge of destruction. Humans managed to escape the crisis, but the invasion continues. In this situation, the player realizes a mysterious power through awakening. The Descendants were destined to save mankind in a moment of crisis with the power inherited from the ancestors of the past.” the development team explains.
Developers initially started the game development in Unreal Engine 4, but upgraded to UE 5 when the version was released.
2. Glory to the Heroes
Sort of banned in Belarus and Russian Federation, Glory to the Heroes is set in the Ukraine borders. The upcoming tactical military, first-person shooter is inspired by the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.
Players can choose their roles from six playable classes with unique equipment and tasks on the battlefield or become a team Commander to oversee the battle. There are also 12 plus (plus) different main weapons and use customization system to modify it. Did we also mention armoured ground vehicles, assault helis? If you’re on Ukraine’s side (which most parts of the world are), you get the chance to destroy the “Moscow” cruiser with “Neptun” guided missile.

It’s just kind of surreal that you’re playing a warfare game set in an actual ongoing war. Will it receive backlash? We’ll get back to you on that.
3. Off the Grid
Gunzilla Games is set to release “a cyberpunk battle royale game that also includes PvE story missions, Off the Grid is looking to evolve the popular subgenre”, Game Rant describes.
Fans are excited to immerse in District 9 and Chappie’s director, Neil Blomkamp. Reported to be working a strong narrative for Off the Grid, the studio appears to put premium on the third-person shooter and multiplayer features in an urban and jungle environment.

4. Stalker 2
One of the much awaited games is the upcoming sequel S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: The Heart of Chernobyl. This unique game combines elements of first-person shooters, immersive life simulators, and horror, per the official website. Stepping into the realistic graphics of an apocalyptic world provides players with an unforgettable experience.
The use of the Unreal Engine 5 offers HD graphics and smooth animations in a terrifying setting and gives more realism for this horror game that will surely test the nerves of players. Players expect dynamic lighting, particle effects, and detailed landscapes with the release of its trailer.

A cinematic third- and first-person action RPG set in a dark Berlin in the year 2087, Shadow of Conspiracy combines shooter and stealth mechanics in challenging combat sequences. Players will get to have their detective hats on as they investigate a police chief’s murder; find a missing girl who’s a key to solving that puzzle, and embody Nolan – an elite cop with a mysterious past, uncovering a far-reaching conspiracy.
“This deep, cinematic detective thriller puts the players’ mind, body and soul to the test as they deal with themes like guilt, love, friendship, sacrifice and betrayal.”, Elysium Studio added.

6. ARC Raiders
Disappointing fans for its release-date push back, Embark Raiders announced last year that “ARC Raiders is an ambitious game, and we will be using this time to expand the experience, and allow it to reach its fullest potential. We will be diving into more details as soon as we start to test the game more extensively with players.”
ARC Raiders is a reimagined cooperative action shooter that offers an intense struggle in every session: together with your squad, defend our home and resist the onslaught of ARC – a ruthless mechanized threat descending from space, according to its official website.
From ex-Battlefield developer Patrick Söderland’s Embark Studios, ARC Raiders is an upcoming free-to-play third-person shooter. It will follow humans fighting against an alien invasion.
The game was first announced at the 2021 Game Awards, with a trailer showing off some of the gameplay.
