Overwatch World Cup 2023 (OWWC 2023) is the biggest international competitive tournament for the title and the entire community is excited to witness the return of this grand event after four long years.
It is all set to take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, USA, from 29th October to 4th November, alongside BlizzCon 2023 which is also coming back after a gap of four years.
A total of 16 teams have qualified through various regional qualifiers to cement a slot for themselves in the LAN event whose total prize pool is being crowdfunded and has not been fixed till now.

This will be the fifth global championship for Overwatch and the first in the last four years, all set to take place on LAN in front of a live audience.
To date, South Korea has won three world cups, all of them in succession from 2016 to 2018, followed by the USA winning the most recent one in 2019, which makes them the current defending champions.
Now the fight is on to see which country will be able to leave its mark as the first Overwatch 2 World Cup winner!

All 16 teams have been divided into four groups of four teams each.

Each group will follow a round robin format where each match will be a best-of-three series.

The top two teams from each group will advance.

All these matches will be played behind closed doors at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The total prize pool for the tournament has not been decided till now because it is dependent on crowdfunding via the sales of bundles including exclusive limited-time skins and items.
