Modern Warfare 3’s gun count will make your jaw drop

Weapons are the most important aspect of a Call of Duty title, especially in multiplayer where tuning and experimenting with loadouts never gets boring.

So, when Sledgehammer revealed that every gun from MW2 would carry over to MW3, including their attachments, it got fans extremely excited.

This means more freedom, customisation, and options to create the ultimate setup for dominating opponents on the battlefield.

Well, MW3’s gun count for launch has finally been revealed, and the massive number is nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Modern Warfare 3 has 114 weapons in multiplayer

According to the popular Call of Duty account CharlieINTEL, Modern Warfare 3 will have a total of 114 weapons at launch to choose from in Gunsmith.

It’s worth noting that 77 of these weapons are from MW2 and are being carried over, with 37 being new and arriving with MW3.

This will give competitors more choice than ever before when fighting across the classic MW2 (2009) maps like Terminal and Highrise.

Of course, this will pose a huge burden on Sledgehammer for balancing, with so many weapons available, there’s a massive responsibility to keep them all in check.
