Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa is among the legislators who actively engage in Senate hearings and provide statements on pertinent social issues, thus garnering significant media attention. In order to gauge public perception of the senator, Capstone-Intel Corporation conducted a study.

Methodology
The study was conducted between August 23, 2023 and October 23, 2023. Capstone utilized its social listening tools to scan publicly available Facebook pages for posts mentioning “Bato Dela Rosa.” In this study, there were no specific demographics or personal data that were tracked.
The agency was able to scan 1,033 posts with a consolidated 42,808 comments, 2,048 shares, a reaction count of 217,453 total, and an engagement score that reached 46,434.1.
Background
Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa is a prominent figure in Philippine politics. He rose to national prominence and served as the first Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) under the Duterte administration, where he played a crucial role in the government’s war on drugs. Known for his tough stance on crime, Senator dela Rosa has become a controversial figure, with both critics and supporters expressing strong opinions about his policies and actions.
Born on January 21, 1962, in Davao City, Senator dela Rosa had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement before entering politics. He joined the police force in 1986 and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the 21st of the PNP from July 2016 to April 2018.
In 2019, Senator Dela Rosa transitioned from law enforcement to politics, winning a seat in the Philippine Senate. He has continued to focus on issues related to national security and public order. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.

These figures indicate that the majority of individuals expressed positive reactions. Likes and Love combined accounted for 179,694 (70.5%) of the overall reactions.
