October is Museum and Galleries Month! Check out our list for exciting events, special exhibits and promos happening in museums and galleries around Metro Manila. This was declared in 1991 in Proclamation No. 798 to have a month-long celebration to promote and create awareness of the Philippine cultural and natural heritage.
- National Museum of the Philippines
Of course! You have to visit THE National Museum. This year, the #NationalMuseumPh
theme is ‘Embracing Uncertainty: Showing Solidarity, Hope, and Recovery’ to honor the resilience and resourcefulness of the Filipino in overcoming the global pandemic as it moves forward to a new normal.

2. Museo ng Muntinlupa
Museo ng Muntinlupa has finally re-opened! Starting Oct 3, visitors are again welcomed from 10 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Saturday.

3. Ayala Museum
If you’re a teacher, librarian, or a museum worker, you get free admission to Ayala Museum and the Filipinas Heritage Library from October 5 to 29!
You can avail the promo by booking your tickets on their website (www.ayalamuseum.org/visit) and select ‘Free for Teachers, Librarians, and Museum Workers’, along with your chosen date and time from their 10 AM – 2 PM timeslot. After this, you can just wait for the confirmation email and completion of your registration process.
Usual rates are range from 350php to 650php
For the library pass for Filipinas Heritage Library, you can also book on their website (filipinaslibrary.org.ph/booking) and type ‘MGMonth2022’ in the discount code box. After this process, expect a confirmation email from the librarian to confirm your passes. Don’t forget your ID for validation purposes during your visit.

4. Gateway Art Fair in Araneta City
Experience the vibrant and infinite creative energies of 11 art groups from Manila and nearby regions in the Gateway Art Fair. This year, the #gatewayartfair has the theme “Jump-start” in hopes to gather energized some 100 Filipino artists for exhibits and art demonstrations.
Oh and yes, the fair is free and open, with full access, to the public!
